If you’re lucky once in a while you get to meet kindred souls. I find myself lucky beyond belief because my art acts like a beacon and calls others to me. The moment I met Courtney I knew it was just meant to be. A girl that loves what I love and lets me be a crazy artist?! Yup life is good. I cannot wait to see what these two have in store for all of their guests on Saturday, one thing is for sure, it will be AMAZE+FUN!!!!!

I anticipated this wedding, like a kid waiting for Christmas! When Jenn with Jenn Yamauchi Weddings & Events told me their colorful theme, I was giddy. I love that Lisa and Tien wanted to have an out of the box wedding that displayed their playful nature. Every little thing about this day put a smile on my face, especially the AWESOME flowers by Leslie of Pixies Petals. I had no idea that rainbow flowers could be so fun and elegant, but seriously when I saw them I was in love. Some of my favorite details of the day were the Pantone table numbers and place cards, sooooo clever! And of course I am sucker for nail polish so seeing all the girls matching their color made me have nail envy. Lisa requested that their first look be something different, so I thought what better way to match the theme than adding a colorful parachute to the mix. All in all this day was the definition of fun and I left at the end of the night with a heart full of joy.

Kari and Ray are friends with some of my most favorite couples, and the saying “Birds of a feather flock together” is definitely true in this case. I loved that Kari wanted to incorporate her mom’s wedding dress as a small tribute and me being the sentimental fool that I am adored that part of our shoot. We chased flowers and light and laughed the whole time. Sometimes the universe makes all the stars align and what you get is something extraordinary. That was definitely one of those days.

A beautiful day with two beautiful people! This gorgeous day was put together by the lovely Catherine of CCL Weddings. I adore quirky and thoughtful details so my favorite of the day was the table of awesomeness for their guests that provided sunglasses, sunscreen, parasols, and something to drink. It’s just like them to think of others. I am so lucky to be surrounded by such kind thoughtful people!!

It’s such a beautiful blessing to be intertwined with other’s lives at their happiest moments. Watching my couples go through the planning process to seeing it all come to fruition and then starting their own families is beyond amazing. Oooooh if I could just squish these two and carry them around everywhere with me I totally would, they are just THAT sweet! Mona and Paul and their families are such kind people and sharing in their happiness was the perfect way to end my year. Their wedding details showcased their love of music thanks to their AWESOME planner Catherine Cindy Leo. From the kickass invitations to one of my most favorite cake toppers ever, even the guests signed records with their well wishes, I loved every inch of their day. Lucky for us we even found the most perfect wall for their portraits. Some things were just meant to me, like Mona and Paul. And a huge thank you to Kim Le for shooting with me that day!!
