Steampunk & Anthropologie Marry ::Culver City, CA::

Since I haven’t done my welcome to the new year post, I will blend that with some amazing eye candy. The start of a new year always brings such renewal in hope and enthusiasm for what the year may bring, and that spark of hope ignites my creative soul. Winter is one of my favorite times of year because this is when I get to recharge and do passion projects. When I met Sugar and Fluff I just knew knew knew I had to do a project with them. It’s rare to find others who share similar creative visions, but the first time we sat down to chat about this idea of a shoot inspired by steampunk, Anthropologie (My FAVORITE), and other quirky things, the ideas would not stop flowing. It was beyond exciting to have input as a photographer because I can give insight to what will photograph well, and Sugar and Fluff were gracious enough to let me put in my 4 cents *lol*. We wanted to stay away from things that were overdone, but we found that some familiar elements we could not live without so we just put our spin on it. Photographically the room took my breath away when it was completely lit with our hues of purple and amber. It was truly a sight that made my heart flutter. I think I went into a trance because people were speaking, but I couldn’t hear a thing because I was mesmerized shooting our details. I felt like a fish in water, and I was swimming around carefree in my creativity. This shoot is something that I am so proud of for so many reasons, have I told you all lately that I am glad I didn’t become a doctor?! *lol*
